Demetris holds the position of the Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Cyprus since September 2019.

He began his career in 2000 with the Cyprus Investment and Securities Corporation Ltd (CISCO) as Investment Banking Analyst.  From 2003 to 2006, he worked for Bank of Cyprus as Customer Relationship Officer and later was appointed Deputy General Manager of CB Bank of Cyprus LLC in Moscow.

He then returned to Cyprus and was placed in Private Banking, and later appointed Head of the Institutional Wealth Desk.  From September 2013, he worked in varιous roles in the Risk Management Division, where he remained until September 2019 when he took the position of Chief Risk Officer.

Demetris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University, USA and an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom.  He is also a CFA Charterholder.
