Chief of Consumer Banking

 

Irene is the Chief of Consumer Banking at Bank of Cyprus since July 2025.

In her role as Chief of Consumer Banking, she oversees Retail Banking including the branch network, the Insurance companies of the Group (General Insurance and Eurolife) and the Digital Channels Division.

Irene joined the Bank in 2002 and has since held key positions across the Bank. In March 2014, she was appointed Regional Manager for the Corporate Arrears Management Units in Limassol, a role she held until June 2016. She subsequently served as Manager of Corporate Banking until August 2019. From September 2019 to December 2021, she led the Human Resources Division, and from January 2022 to June 2025, she held the position of Executive Director of People & Change overseeing the HR, Corporate Affairs, Legal Services and the Transformation office of the Bank.

Irene holds a BSc in Mathematics and Business Studies from Warwick University, UK, as well as an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Bayes Business School (City, University of London).

Currently she serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of the IDEA Innovation Centre and Jinius.
