Risk Strategy Advisor (Ref. 1019) - Nicosia

We are looking for a Risk Strategy Advisor to join the Enterprise Risk Management team and assist with management, coordination and preparation of strategic projects and reports of the Risk Management Division.

As a Risk Strategy Advisor, you will also be involved in risk assessments, designing frameworks related to the Group’s Risk Appetite, preparing the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process, and supporting other strategic initiatives of the Bank of Cyprus Group.

More information

    • Prepares and organizes the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process of the Group.
    • Prepares and updates the Risk Appetite Framework and implements allocation of risk appetite to business lines.
    • Prepares assessments of financial and capital plans, strategic projects and transactions.
    • Prepares analyses, presentations and reports to senior management as well as executive and board committees.
    • Manages ad-hoc projects of the Risk Management Division partnering with other stakeholders and liaising with external advisors where necessary.
    • Contributes to continuous improvement of key policies, processes and documents related to strategic risk management.
    • Reviews and implements regulatory guidance and recommendations related to Risk Strategy and Enterprise Risk Management.
    • Manages and supports methods, automations and improvements in the strategic risk management process.
  • Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, Finance, or Economics.
    • Master’s degree related to Risk Management or Finance or a professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, FRM, PRM, will be considered an advantage.

    Experience / Technical Skills

    • 3 years of experience in an area related to risk management, risk strategy, or capital management in banking or financial services environment.
    • Working knowledge of finance and risk management concepts, ICAAP and RAF will be considered an advantage.
    • Programming knowledge and data analysis skills (VBA, Python, R, SQL, etc.) highly desirable.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially in Excel.
