More information

  • To setup the Digipass APP, you need to download on your device, free of charge, the Bank of Cyprus Application from the App Store or Google Play Store. Once this is done, open the Bank of Cyprus App and go to the option “View links” at the bottom of the login screen. Select the Digipass option and follow the instructions on your screen. Follow the same procedure if you wish to setup free of charge, the same Digipass App on additional devices.

  • You may call the Call Centre to activate your Digipass APP.

  • To be able to apply and use the Digipass App, follow the steps below:

    • Purchase the Digipass APP by completing the relevant application. The application is available here and at any Bank of Cyprus Branch.
    • Once purchased, you will receive an SMS with the Digipass APP Serial Number, and you may proceed to setup the Digipass APP on at least one device.
    • Activate it by calling the Call Centre.
    • When the above steps are completed, when submitting a transaction through any of the 1bank channels, if it requires the usage of Digipass, you may use the Digipass APP to generate the OTP by scanning the QR code shown on your screen or you may use the NOTIFICATION feature for an automatic approach. This is for the cases the transaction is done from a device other that the one the Digipass APP is setup. If you are performing your transaction from a device on which the Digipass APP is setup, you will only need to use your Digipass APP PIN to verify the transaction.
  • The purchase cost of Digipass APP is €20.

    • It may be used for any transaction that requires usage of Digipass (transfers, payments etc.) and for instructions sent by fax. It is optionally used to login to 1bank Internet or Mobile Banking App.
    • The OTP generated is unique per transaction and it is generated by taking into consideration basic transaction data, which offers enhanced security for your transactions through 1bank.
    • For the purchase cost, refer to the Bank’s Table of Commissions and Charges.
  • Individual subscribers can apply for a Digipass App by completing the relevant application at any Bank of Cyprus Branch.

  • Business subscribers can apply for a Digipass APP by completing the relevant application at any Bank of Cyprus Branch.

  • For executing electronic transactions through Internet and Mobile Banking requiring One Time Passwords (OTP), you may select one of the options below for generating the required OTP:

    • QR Code - (when the transaction is done from a device other than the one the Digipass APP is setup) - Open the Bank of Cyprus APP and from the option “View links” select “Digipass”. Select the appropriate option, scan the QR Code and then enter your Digipass APP PIN. Verify the transaction details on your app and enter the OTP provided at the screen with the transaction. No internet access is required on the device the Digipass APP is setup.     • NOTIFICATION – (when the transaction is done from a device other than the one the Digipass APP is setup) - Open the notification sent to your mobile device, enter your Digipass APP PIN and verify the transaction details shown on your device. If you agree, proceed and watch your transaction being completed successfully without any further action. Internet access is required on the device the Digipass APP is setup.     • Mobile Banking APP - If you are using the Mobile Banking APP for your transaction on a device where the Digipass APP is setup, when you select “Confirm”, the screen to enter your Digipass APP PIN opens and once entering it and verifying the transaction details, your transaction is completed successfully.     Note:  Once you purchase and activate a Digipass APP, it automatically becomes the default for your current subscription. At any time, you can switch to another digipass you ownas below:

    • Through Internet Banking click on the option "Products & services  > Digipass >  Activate/Switch".
    • Through Mobile Banking App, from the Menu tap on “Security & Digipass > View current or get a new digipass > Activate Switch your Digipass”.
    • Or by calling the Call Centre.

    The existing access and daily transaction limits applicable to your subscription will not be altered.
