Cypriot Consumer behaviour in the “Year of the pandemic”

More than a year after the onset of the Pandemic, businesses are still seeing the effects on consumer spending behaviour, trying to identify and reveal the new habits and trends that are here to stay.

The publication is a joint effort of Bank of Cyprus and KPMG, aiming at uncovering the changes and shifts in consumers’ preferences and understanding the impact of COVID-19 in the Cyprus economy.

A large dataset of card and other transactions performed in the Cyprus market within 2019 and 2020 have been analysed and results on the spending behavior and sales channel preferences will be presented, for 12 different industries in Cyprus.
