A debit card is a payment card linked directly to your account, allowing you to pay for goods, services or withdraw cash. Funds are instantly deducted from the balance of your account.

To apply for a debit card, you must have a checking or savings account with the Bank. If the card is not automatically provided, you can apply either online or at any Bank of Cyprus branch.

You can activate your credit card through the Bank’s digital channels, at any POS terminal or ATM, or by calling the Bank’s Call Center.

Yes. Your debit card can be used for your online purchases.

Yes. Contactless payments are supported with your debit card.

Yes. Your debit card can also be used abroad.

Your new card is immediately available in the BoC Mobile App, and you can add it to your digital wallet.

Immediately freeze your card and then report it as lost or stolen through the Bank’s digital channels. You may also contact the Bank’s or JCC’s Call Center, or visit any Bank of Cyprus branch to report the incident and request a new card.
